3D and AI lead on a social spot for Trolli, commissioned by Digitas. The project called for a battle royale universe built around the brand's gummy characters — drawing from '90s pop culture and modern gaming, with the energy of a real game the audience would actually want to play.

Challenge

Leading two simultaneous pipelines under one creative roof. On the 3D side: a stylized world that felt authentic and tactile without crossing into hyper-realism — fun and playful, never childish. On the AI side: a custom workflow that converted each 3D character into a photorealistic human counterpart, routing through GPT Image and video avatar generation. The tone had to survive the translation between both worlds.

Solution

Cartoon-inspired aesthetic elevated by cinematic technique — real camera lenses, shallow depth of field, and environmental detail that sells scale. I built the AI pipeline that turned gummy characters into real people: from 3D render to photorealistic portrait to talking avatar, all within a reproducible flow. The result: a spot that lives in two visual registers at once without breaking identity.
